The above figure is an excerpt from the GISDUMP-01 folder tree. The “system” is very crude – the only goal is to make sure oddball data that comes to us doesn’t get lost in the mess. The material is often in need of substantial evaluation and/or cleanup work to realize its value. Each item has its own top-level folder named for the material’s author or donor.
