The site provides FTP access to selected spatial data from a variety of programs and categories. Available datasets include:
- Water • Fish & Wildlife • Managed Lands • Boundaries
- Environmental Protection • Parks & Recreation • Forestry
- Transportation • Indexes & PLSS • Land Cover/Vegetation

The site also makes many of it’s spatial datasets available as map services. Once an item has been found on the Open Data website it can be added as a layer to an ArcMap or ArcGIS Online session by copying the service’s URL (found under the API tab), pasting the URL into the Add Layer From Web dialogue, trimming off the back end of the URL as shown below and clicking on Add Layer.
