ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo - there are three license levels for ArcGIS for Desktop http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/about/gis-for-me.html
ArcGIS For Home Use - in November of 2011, we became aware that ArcGIS For Desktop is available for non-commercial home use. At $100 it look's like a good value, especially because of the inclusion of the Spatial Analyst extension. One word of caution - this is the ArcView license level which is not nearly as rich as the ArcInfo level that many of us are accustomed to. http://store.esri.com/esri/showdetl.cfm?SID=2&Product_ID=1315&Category_ID=121
